Indy 500

Congrats Helio!
What a month for him, about a month ago he could have been wearing a jumpsuit and in jail for Tax Evasion, and today he is the 3 time Indy 500 Champion! Go figure, I am happy for him. It was an exciting race, even though I lost the satellite for about 25 laps or so due to a huge storm that blew through here. OF course I can't complain too much I needed the rain at the house. But back to the race....
Andretti's should just stop trying to win, as Marco was taken out on the first lap, this curse is worse than the Cubs curse. I don't even thing John Andretti beat Milka Duno, who I think caused at least 2 wrecks today.
AJ Foyt - His teams never have the luck, but after his ABC Supply car caught on fire, was doused with water/soap, they fired it back up and he was back on the track. I was amazed, how could it be running? I mean there was LOTS of water. Well anyways a couple laps later he was in a bad wreck, I hope Vitor is OK.
Target Chip Ganassi - You can't win every year even though you have the "Super" team. What is up with that nick name, so they have Dixon who is very good no doubt, but Dario who tried Nascar, which didn't work out well at all, and now comes limping back to Open Wheel cars and takes a ride away from the Second Place finisher. Dan Wheldon, good for him. I also like Dan's car the best, computer cammo for the National Guard. What better sponsor can you have for the Indy 500...
Danica Patrick - Can any blog entry about IRL go with out a Danica mention? I guess not, she did great, finished 4th, so good for her. She ran an uneventful race, which is unusual for her, and didn't get in any trouble. Maybe one day she will have a shot, but not until Helio finishes racing, this guy has a chance to win 5 500's...
Ok just another 600 miles to go, but alas there is rain in Charlotte, bummer. ![]()
F1 - Monaco

Well race one of the 3 race day is done and congrats to Jenson Button for his brilliant victory on the Streets of Monaco. Yes I got up at 6:30AM to watch this race, I love F1, but as I said in an earlier post I am not all that excited about this year due to the changes and the ways the car looks. You have to understand, Monaco is the Daytona/Indy for F1, the streets they race on are very wavy and not very wide. There is even a part of the race that runs through a tunnel. The exit of the tunnel is pretty spectacular as when your in the tunnel it is much darker than when your in of course. When you exit the tunnel it is a burst of sunshine and has to have an effect on the drivers. Of course I don't know for sure, but if you have seen it you would know what I mean. It was a great day for Ferrari, as they came in 3rd and 4th. Kimi and Felipe respectively, this means they have improved their car after a terrible start to the season. I am happy about this, as I am a bit Ferrari fan. Kimi also said during the post race interview that there are more changes coming to the car, so at the next race in Turkey I am hoping for even better results from Ferrari!
I am sure I will have to succumb to a nap at some point in the day, but that is ok, as this is the greatest RACE day of the year.
Next on tap is the Indy 500, I am pulling for Helio. I hope he does well due to what he went through earlier in the year.
Next after the 500 is the biggest of them all and the longest the Coke a Cola 600. The only 600 mile race on the Nascar schedule. Hendrick Motorsports always does well here, so I expect a great race from Jeff, Jimmy, Mark and Dale Jr. I am pulling for Jeff Gordon to win!
