By Rp3 on Dec 25, 2010 | In Life
Merry Christmas to all, I am at my Mom & Dads getting ready to open presents as soon as my dad gets back from Church, he had to work the morning service. So I decided to create a post, something I have not done much of lately.. I need to get back in the grove, need to keep my blog going. I don't think many people read this of course, but it's fun to do anyways..
So Merry Christmas to all and I hope you have a Happy New Year as well..
Chow for now...

XGames 15 - Sweet
By Rp3 on Aug 1, 2010 | In Fun (Web, Movies, Life, etc..), Life
Been watching the Xgames over the weekend. It is amazing what some of these guys and girls do on skate boards, motorcycles, etc... Moto X Speed & Style is on now and is very fun to watch. Brian Deegan just lost to his teammate "Twitch" this is a very tight track so not sure anyone is ever going to pass anyone, but still fun to watch...
Have to head to Dallas this week, been traveling a lot lately, and look forward to no travel after this week for a week or so, not really sure yet....
Still playing with the EVO, and finally was able to convert a video to the EVO and have it work. Now to convert some good movies so I can show off my EVO. Using Handbrake to get the conversion done. Did a 14 min vid and it took about 8 mins, so a full size movie would probably take about 40 mins I guess to convert... Will have to try, maybe next weekend when I get home...
Ok back to Xgames16..

Long time no blog :(
By Rp3 on Jul 4, 2010 | In MotorSports (Nascar, F1, Bikes..), Life
It's been a while since I bloged last so I thought I would log in and drop a quick note. Will discuss a couple things. Nascar Coke Zero 400 last night, and Ryan Dungey.
Nascar - what a race, it as fun from my point of view. Jeff moved up 3 spots in the standings with a strong 3rd place finish. I thought for a while there he might actually pull it off, but I don't think his car was all that great until longer into runs. So it didn't work perfectly for him. OH well, he still had a great run. Then there was the Carl/Kurt incident, which I thought was pretty funny. Carl just turned right and put Kurt into the wall, simple as that. I think he is loosing some of his good guy image...First the Brad K wreck, now this.. Hmmmm
Ryan Dungey - WOW, this kid is amazing, he won again this weekend at Red Bud, the guy is on a freaking roll. He is constantly beating Chad Reed so he must be good and the SuperCross championship was no fluke. Of course there are a couple guys that were out and still are but he is very impressive. We shall see if he can keep it up.
Ok enough for now... Until next time...

CBS - Survivor
By Rp3 on May 17, 2010 | In News (Current Events), Outdoor Sports, Life
Let me start by saying that it has been years since I watched this show. Some people told me about Russell and I caught part of his first season and decided since I thought he was shafted I would watch the Villains Vs Heroes show.
Now that I have see this last season of "Outwit, Outlast, OutPlay" I can honestly say I will not watch again. The person who won didn't do much of any of the above. The person who came in 3rd did all of that along with the person who came in 2nd and neither win the big prize. It was a close game for Parvarti and Russell for me, but I thought Russell played the game better. Some of his moves thorughout the game were down right crazy, but they WORKED. Isn't this supposed to be what it's all about. Meanwhile Sandra won no challenges, even gave up in most of them and she comes out on top since she 'played' the game the best. Huh? What did you smoke people? Are you nuts? Plus the fact that she is a bitch, and proved it on national TV last night. Argoance is one thing, being a bitch and flaunting it is another, I half expected her to start waving her finger in front of peoples faces... What a joke.
This show has become a popularity contest amongst the players, I am not saying that is bad, but it's not what I watch it for. I love the back stabbing (and just so you know the Heroes did that too, yes you Rufus or Rupert or what ever your name is) IT'S part of the game. If you don't do it you go home in the first weeks. So to say that Russell is evil and a back stabber I would say Hell Yes and I would vote for him. I really think they need to do something about this, or their ratings will continue to fall as they are.
I think Russell was vindicated a bit by winning the 100K fan vote, but as I said he should have won. Too many people mad at him since he got rid of them... Boston Rob, douch bag supreme, saying he would "Kick your ass all over the place" well uhmm, didn't you just try that and it didn't work? Talk is cheap my friend.
And what was up with Colby? He sucked, but managed to stay out of the line of fire, he had no way to win it unless he won immunity, which we knew he wouldn't, but it was a great play up until then.. What was the deal with his comment last night about quarantine? Are they really keeping them penned up as much as he said they were? That ruins the game even more?
Also how come they were really never 'starving' like in the old days? It's like, oh well I guess we will have 10 bananas and 5 coconuts today... I guess we will live? I am no way saying it's easy, but I can remember the shows in the past, long ago, where people looked like they lost 30% of their body fat, now thats the Survivor we know and love.
Please bring it back to the way it was, not the way it is, your loosing audience and will continue to until things change. Maybe after 20 seasons, it's just time for it to go... Who knows, only time will tell...

#NASCAR is here! HELL YA~!!!!!
By Rp3 on Feb 12, 2010 | In MotorSports (Nascar, F1, Bikes..), Life
Can you believe it, life has meaning again! The racing season is just hours away, as the trucks tonight haul it off into turn 1 at Daytona! I am very happy to have Nascar in my life again, it seems things were not fulfilling enough for me until now. My life has meaning, all in the world is good again. Of course this doesn't apply to work, but hey you can't have your cake and eat it too they say.
I am once again looking for a strong season from Hendrick Motorsports, I was bummed to see Jeff ruin his primary car yesterday, but after seeing what JJ did in a back up I am not all that worried. Those guys are good! I am sure things will be just fine.
What about the Old man and the Kid (well not anymore) on the front row. I think the off season has done wonders for the 88, with the 5 and the 88 emulating the 24 and 48 teams I think we should expect big things from both of them. Junior seems to be in the right 'place' in his head too. Of course getting off to a bad start can sour that, but I sense a good year for him, hell in the even years he always does well, just take a look.
The weather is just crazy the last couple weeks. The NE is just packing in like Eskimos, and we (South) aren't faring much better, I was watching the news last night and saw it snowing BIG time in Dallas. Amazing. Global warming is here!!!
Ok will keep the blog updated more often as I have something to blog about now. Chow/peace/c-ya/etc...
