It's been a while since I bloged last so I thought I would log in and drop a quick note. Will discuss a couple things. Nascar Coke Zero 400 last night, and Ryan Dungey.

Nascar - what a race, it as fun from my point of view. Jeff moved up 3 spots in the standings with a strong 3rd place finish. I thought for a while there he might actually pull it off, but I don't think his car was all that great until longer into runs. So it didn't work perfectly for him. OH well, he still had a great run. Then there was the Carl/Kurt incident, which I thought was pretty funny. Carl just turned right and put Kurt into the wall, simple as that. I think he is loosing some of his good guy image...First the Brad K wreck, now this.. Hmmmm

Ryan Dungey - WOW, this kid is amazing, he won again this weekend at Red Bud, the guy is on a freaking roll. He is constantly beating Chad Reed so he must be good and the SuperCross championship was no fluke. Of course there are a couple guys that were out and still are but he is very impressive. We shall see if he can keep it up.

I was waiting to post until Nascar released their decision on Carl Edwards. Well a couple hours ago they did and I have to admit I think they missed the mark. Carl should have been suspended for at least one race, hell he purposely wrecked Brad and admitted as much. He is on probation for 3 races, this is a slap on the wrist to the new BAD BOY of Nascar! It doesn't affect him at all.

Of course I can understand, with the amount of money sponsors pour into this sport I would bet that they had a say in this as well. Can you imagine his car parked in two weeks at Bristol? What would "The Duck" say about that. Nascar was and is in a tough spot, they told everyone that they could police themselves. Then this happened, but on the same token I bet they have had move viewers due to this new policy. A car going on it's roof and smacking the safer barrier is not what they envisioned of course, but ratings will be up. All the sports shows have there new clip to promote, etc..

So what is next? What will BK say about all of this, he was and is in the middle of this as he was kind of pushing his way to the front over the last year. In the big cars and nationwide, and got a lot of guys upset at him. It will be interesting to see what happens in Bristol in a couple weeks.

One side note, people have said BK deserved this due to what he did to Carl at Talladega last year, as far as I am concerned BK didn't cause that wreck. Carl came down on BK 'expecting' him to move over or go below the yellow line, which of course he didn't. I applaud him for that, and it turns out he won the race. More power to him. This year is definitely starting out interesting for sure..

Keep your eyes peeled, as I am sure there will be TONS of fire works at Bristol...

Well the Las Vegas race is over and I am a bit sad. You see my favorite driver is Jeff Gordon and he dominated the race. Well at least 97% of it. The decision to put 2 tires on at the last stop with 34 or so laps to go was just the wrong decision. I know it's hard being a crew chief, but that was just wrong. Jeff was being NICE during his interview, even if a 'couple' more cars took 2 tires I don't think he would have been OK. I think he knows that too. What can you do though, it's the past, and now we move on to one of the fastest if not the fastest race tracks on the circuit Atlanta Motor Speedway. This place is slick and fast, the pavement is worn in a bit and there is 2-3 lines to run on. I can't wait for this weekend!!!!

So I went out this past weekend to my buddies 10 year old sons birthday party. They had it at the farm (30 mins from my house) and had a war games type theme. A guy setup a course, and the kids got slingshots, mini Nerf balls (about 1/2 size of golf ball), and masks. It was then game on. It was funny to watch them run around shooting each other. The game was capture the flag, and if you got the other teams flag you had to take it back to your base, the challenge was you had to go through the tunnel in the middle of the field on the way back to your base. This made for some pretty funny moments, as one boy would be crawling through and the others sitting at the other end waiting to shoot him. Great fun had by all. I was tired just watching them..

I did bring the bike (CRF450X) and got to take a couple spins around on it, but since we had the cows sectioned off I really couldn't get much going on it, but it was nice to get it back out in some dirt...

It's raining today, or was, this sux.

Updated my site, I should say I just modified it a bit, but need to keep up with it a bit more. You can find it HERE .

Also I have not commented on Last weeks Daytona. I am very happy for J-Mac and that team. It was neat to see the Bass Pro Shops car in Victory lane at Daytona since I am or want to be an outdoors person, hunting, fishing, etc.. And it seems he really enjoyed it a lot. He tweets all the time so that was neat too.

The PotHoles - Yes this made the race rather long, and drawn out. Ruined the race for me, as the breaks just take away from the continuity of the race. Daytona is tough to watch anyways due to the restrictor plates. Not my favorite racing but it is Nascar so I won't complain.

Danica saying yesterday that she sucked was quite funny, but honestly who else has the time she is getting to 'figure out' nascar. Other drivers get one or two races and if they don't produce (and don't have money/sponsorship) they are gone. I guess thats what we get with her, it's nice it will add some fans, but I am already sick of the "Danica" updates. Or "Danica has raced her way to 31st", well if you call racing your way to 31st due to others dropping out then ....

It sux, she took the ride away from Kelly Bires at Daytona. Although I don't think he could have competed with the Gibbs cars he is now one race behind the curve, I would not be surprised to see him have a great year, but maybe we talk about what could have been.......

Getting into electronics and projects these days, been building some kits, and some simple projects. Currently working on a 3x3 LED cube tied to a Arduino. I will post some pictures and commentary as I get closer to the finish. I enjoy it, gets me away from the TV and stimulates my brain...

Can you believe it, life has meaning again! The racing season is just hours away, as the trucks tonight haul it off into turn 1 at Daytona! I am very happy to have Nascar in my life again, it seems things were not fulfilling enough for me until now. My life has meaning, all in the world is good again. Of course this doesn't apply to work, but hey you can't have your cake and eat it too they say.

I am once again looking for a strong season from Hendrick Motorsports, I was bummed to see Jeff ruin his primary car yesterday, but after seeing what JJ did in a back up I am not all that worried. Those guys are good! I am sure things will be just fine.

What about the Old man and the Kid (well not anymore) on the front row. I think the off season has done wonders for the 88, with the 5 and the 88 emulating the 24 and 48 teams I think we should expect big things from both of them. Junior seems to be in the right 'place' in his head too. Of course getting off to a bad start can sour that, but I sense a good year for him, hell in the even years he always does well, just take a look.

The weather is just crazy the last couple weeks. The NE is just packing in like Eskimos, and we (South) aren't faring much better, I was watching the news last night and saw it snowing BIG time in Dallas. Amazing. Global warming is here!!!
